We didn't say there would be no rules... that would end up in anarchy!!! There has to be structure and an agreed standard that we all play to that maintains fair play and maximises your enjoyment.
Official Rules of The Paphos 8 Ball Pool League
We have looked at all the main ruling bodies... World Rules, International Rules, English Rules. When playing a friendly league, we do have players with a vast array of experience who have played to the different rules in the past, so there is no pleasing everyone.... who is right and who is wrong.
In the main have adopted the English Rules, and maybe added, or taken away a few bits. What is important is that they are agreed with the Captains of the teams and will be reviewed after each season. It is also important it to talk with your captains so they can feedback at the next Captains Meeting, where ideas will be discussed.
SCORE SHEETS
The home team captain will write on the score sheet their 3 doubles players for the first 3 matches and fold the sheet over obscuring those players names. The away captain will then write in their players names for the first 3 doubles matches. Once the 3 doubles matches have been played, the captains will follow the same process for the six singles. Enjoy your games.
Players needing to play late or early can easily be accommodated using these score sheets.
